Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Altivexa Academy may handle, why it is handled, how it is protected and the choices available to visitors.

Effective: 5 August 2026Last reviewed: 5 August 2026Applies to: altivexapro.com

Plain-English summary

Altivexa is a static educational website. It has no user accounts, casino games, deposits, payments, newsletter forms or behavioural advertising. The front-end stores one age-confirmation value on your device. Our hosting systems may create ordinary security and access logs, and we receive information you voluntarily include in an email.

1. Scope and operator

This Privacy Policy applies to information handled through altivexapro.com and direct communications concerning Altivexa Academy. In this policy, “Altivexa”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of the Altivexa Academy educational website.

Altivexa provides general information about casino mathematics, gambling psychology and risk. We are not a gambling operator, casino, payment provider, credit provider or healthcare service. This policy does not govern external websites linked from our pages.

Privacy enquiries and requests may be sent to privacy@altivexapro.com. Please do not include identity documents or sensitive financial or health information in an initial email.

2. New Zealand privacy framework

Our approach is informed by the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its Information Privacy Principles, including purpose-limited collection, reasonable security, limited retention, appropriate use and disclosure, and individual access and correction rights. The Act and any mandatory rights apply according to their terms; this policy does not reduce a right provided by law.

Because visitors may access the website from other places, local privacy rules may also apply. Nothing in this policy promises rights that do not apply to a particular visitor, and nothing excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.

3. Information we may handle

3.1 Technical request and security data

When a browser requests a page, the web server or hosting infrastructure may automatically receive and log an IP address, approximate network location derived from that address, date and time, requested URL, response status, transferred data volume, browser and device information, operating system, language, referring URL, and diagnostic or security events. These records are generated as part of delivering and protecting a website.

3.2 Information stored on your device

After you confirm the 18+ notice, our JavaScript writes altivexa_age_confirmed=true to your browser's local storage. This value states only that the confirmation button was selected. It does not contain your name, date of birth, document details, exact age or gambling history.

3.3 Communications

If you contact us, we may receive your email address, display name, message, attachments you choose to send, standard email routing data and our correspondence with you. If you report an error, the message may also include the affected page, browser information or other context you provide.

3.4 Information from lawful administrative processes

We may receive limited information if a hosting provider, regulator, court, law-enforcement body, rights holder or security researcher contacts us about the website. The information handled will depend on the nature of that communication.

4. Information we do not request through the website

The current website has no registration, deposit, betting, payment, comment, survey, subscription or profile function. We do not ask visitors to provide:

  • bank account, payment-card, wallet or credit information;
  • gambling account credentials, balances, bets or transaction histories;
  • government identity documents, biometric templates or proof-of-age documents;
  • precise geolocation, contact lists, camera or microphone access;
  • health, counselling or self-exclusion records;
  • marketing preferences or advertising identifiers; or
  • special-category information for profiling.

Please do not send these categories by email. If unnecessary sensitive information is received, we may delete or restrict it where reasonably possible.

5. Where information comes from

Information is obtained directly from your device when it requests website resources, directly from you when you communicate with us, or from infrastructure and security providers that support delivery of the website. We do not purchase marketing lists, enrich visitor profiles with data brokers or receive customer information from gambling operators.

6. Why information may be used

CategoryPurposeTypical necessity
Server and security logsDeliver pages, diagnose faults, prevent abuse, investigate attacks and maintain availability.Necessary for site operation and security.
Age-confirmation local storageRemember the visitor's confirmation so the notice is not repeatedly displayed.Functional browser storage initiated by the visitor.
Email correspondenceAnswer questions, consider corrections, handle rights requests and retain an appropriate record.Necessary to respond to the communication.
Legal or security recordsEstablish, exercise or defend rights; comply with lawful obligations; protect people and systems.Used only where relevant and proportionate.

We do not use information from this website to make automated decisions about eligibility, credit, employment, insurance, gambling access or healthcare.

7. Cookies, local storage and tracking

The current front-end does not set HTTP cookies and contains no third-party advertising pixels or analytics scripts. It uses local storage for the age-confirmation value described above. Local storage is technically different from a cookie, but both are browser-side storage technologies and can be managed in browser settings.

Hosting or security infrastructure may use strictly necessary identifiers or logs outside the visible front-end code. For a detailed technology inventory, purposes, durations and deletion instructions, read our Cookie Policy.

Because there is no behavioural advertising or cross-site tracking in the current site code, we do not currently respond differently to “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals. If tracking technologies are introduced, we will review these signals and any consent requirements before deployment.

8. Service providers and disclosure

Information may be processed by organisations that provide hosting, network delivery, domain, email, backup, cybersecurity or technical support services. They should receive only the information reasonably required for their function and may be bound by contract, confidentiality, security obligations and applicable law.

We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to:

  • comply with a lawful and valid request, court order or legal obligation;
  • investigate fraud, malicious traffic, security incidents or misuse of the website;
  • protect the rights, safety and property of visitors, Altivexa or another person;
  • obtain professional legal, technical or accounting advice under confidentiality; or
  • support a genuine organisational transfer, subject to appropriate privacy safeguards.

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not disclose visitor information to gambling operators for marketing.

9. Overseas processing

Internet infrastructure can involve routing, storage or support outside New Zealand. A hosting, email or security provider may process limited technical or correspondence data in another country. Privacy protections in that country may differ from those in New Zealand.

Where New Zealand privacy law requires safeguards for an overseas disclosure, we will take reasonable steps appropriate to the nature of the information and provider. Some overseas processing may legally be treated as processing on our behalf rather than a disclosure; the applicable classification depends on the arrangement and law.

10. How long information is kept

We aim not to retain personal information longer than required for its lawful purpose. Actual periods may vary if information is needed for security investigation, a legal hold, backup integrity or a rights request.

InformationIndicative approach
Age-confirmation valueRemains in the visitor's browser until site data is cleared, storage is reset or browser settings remove it.
Routine server logsKept for a limited operational and security period determined by hosting configuration, then deleted, rotated or aggregated.
Security incident recordsKept for as long as reasonably needed to investigate, remediate, document and defend the incident.
General correspondenceKept while the enquiry is active and for a reasonable follow-up or recordkeeping period.
Rights or legal correspondenceKept as needed to demonstrate handling of the request and meet applicable obligations.

11. Security and privacy breaches

Reasonable controls may include HTTPS transport, restrictive browser security headers, limited administrative access, software maintenance, backups and monitoring for malicious activity. No website, email or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

If we identify a privacy breach, we will assess its nature, affected information, likely consequences and available mitigations. Where the Privacy Act 2020 requires notification because the breach has caused or is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify the Office of the Privacy Commissioner and affected individuals unless a lawful exception applies.

If you believe information connected with this website has been exposed or misused, contact privacy@altivexapro.com with a concise description. Do not publicly disclose credentials or sensitive personal data.

12. Access, correction and complaints

Under New Zealand privacy law, individuals can request access to personal information an agency holds about them and ask for incorrect, incomplete or misleading information to be corrected. Some lawful grounds may permit or require withholding, and identity verification may be necessary before information is released.

To make a request, email privacy@altivexapro.com with the subject “Privacy request”. Describe the information or communication involved and the outcome requested. Provide only enough verification information to allow us to safely locate and release the record. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

If a correction is not made, you may be entitled to request that a statement of correction be attached to the relevant information. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner New Zealand if you believe a privacy concern has not been resolved.

You can clear the age-confirmation value yourself through browser site-data settings. Blocking local storage may cause the age notice to appear on future visits.

13. Children, young people and age limits

The main educational portal is intended for adults aged 18 or over and is not designed to collect personal information from children. We do not use age confirmation as identity verification and do not request proof-of-age documents. New Zealand casino entry and casino gambling are restricted to people aged 20 or over; the site's 18+ reading boundary does not change any legal gambling age.

The Responsible Gambling page remains available as public-interest safety information. If we learn that a child has supplied unnecessary personal information, we will take reasonable steps to remove or protect it.

14. External websites and support services

Our pages link to New Zealand government and gambling-harm support resources. When you follow a link, the destination may receive standard request information and will apply its own privacy policy. Altivexa does not control those services, their availability or their data practices. A link is provided for reference and does not create a data-sharing partnership.

15. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the website, service providers, privacy practices or applicable law change. The “Last reviewed” date will be revised when a material review is completed. If a change materially affects how information already collected is used, we will provide notice appropriate to the circumstances and seek consent where required.

Questions, complaints and privacy requests: privacy@altivexapro.com.

This policy is intended to describe the website accurately and transparently. It is not legal advice to visitors or other organisations.
